Newtonbrook Library
The Newtonbook Secondary School Library Resource
Centre’s collection is designed to support
resource-based learning. A wide variety of
resources, both print and electronic, have been
selected to support the curricular needs of the
students. With the aid of the teacher-librarian,
students learn library research skills – how to
locate, access, and process information for their
assignments and essays. An additional significant
role of the teacher-librarian is to encourage
reading for pleasure. A special feature of the
Newtonbrook Library is the multi-language
collection. The Library also has an extensive
collection of books supporting the French immersion
program. From the link below to the Library web
page, students have 24/7 access to several
encyclopedias online, to a wide variety of
subscription databases, and to an excellent
collection of pre-selected subject specific web
sites.
