Update:
1. Ontario Band Festival - The Concert Band
recently earned a Bronze for their participation the
festival, and enjoyed a workshop with a renowned
band director.
2. Ontario Vocal Festival - The Concert Choir
travels to Bowmanville on Feb 29 to participate in
this celebration of all things singing!
3. Sounds of Toronto - Once again this year,
Newtonbrook students in band and vocal classes will
be joining over 1000 students from over 20 Toronto
schools to perform for one night only at the
legendary Massey Hall on April 10. Tickets are only
$5 and it promises to be a spectacular evening of
song!
4. Coffeehouse - An evening of acoustic music and
poetry and all sorts of other performances, organize
by students, for students, takes place in the
evening on March 26. Stay tuned for details!
5. May Music Night - takes place May 15, featuring
all music classes and extra-curricular groups!
6. Congrats - to Erica Kowal, music student and MOB
council member, who was awarded the Chancellor's
Scholarship to Queen's University.
